DESCRIPTION:Musical Mornings take place on the first Saturday of each month from 9:00-11:00 and give children ages 5-11 the opportunity to learn about music in fun and engaging ways without the commitment of private lessons. \nEach month will focus on a different theme teaching an element of music or incorporating music into seasonal learning. Most sessions will be led by a former elementary school teacher with nearly 20 years of classroom experience\, but sometimes special guests might present as well. \nSessions cost $15 for the first student in a family and $5 for each additional student. The cost covers the cost of materials and supports the Culpeper Community Band. While students are welcome to attend every month\, each session is independent of the others and there is no requirement to attend every month. \nEach session will begin with a time of greeting with songs and dances\, move into the themed activity for the month and close with farewell songs and dances before a time of free exploration for the last ten minutes. Parents and guardians are invited to wait in the lobby of the Jewell Tone storefront\, or drop off and pick up their students. \nThemes for this year include: \nAugust– Back to School Boomwhackers \nSeptember– Ring Ring Go the Bells // Bell Handbells \nOctober– Not-so-Spooky Music \nNovember– No Theme November (free exploration and multiple crafts) \nDecember– Sleigh Ride (jingle bells and slap sticks)
